The Pavilions Himalayas, The Farm
The Pavilions Himalayas, The Farm is a fourteen villa eco resort set in a forested valley near Pokhara, with the Annapurna range behind it and a working organic farm supplying the kitchen.
Worth knowing before you choose it
It is about fifteen kilometres from Pokhara airport, roughly thirty minutes by road, and it is not on the lake. Guests who want to walk to Phewa in the evening should pick differently. Guests who want to wake up to farmland and mountains with nothing else in earshot should pick this.
The property
Each villa sleeps two, with a fireplace and a private terrace. The style is contemporary with Nepali detail rather than heritage reproduction. The resort runs on renewable energy, collects rainwater, produces its own biogas, and makes its toiletries from Nepali ingredients. That is unusual at this level and it is not marketing dressing.
Food comes off the farm, which shows.
Who tends to choose it
Guests who care how a place is run, anyone travelling for the wellness side of the journey, and couples who want somewhere quiet before or after the trail.
