Pashupatinath Temple beside the Bagmati river in Kathmandu

Our Story

Far Ridge Collective is Nepali owned and Nepali run. That is the starting point, and everything else follows from it.

Nepal is not a cheap destination. The finest hotel in the world stands in the Kali Gandaki valley: Shinta Mani Mustang took first place in Robb Report’s fifty greatest luxury hotels on earth for 2026, ahead of Singita in Rwanda and the Park Hyatt Tokyo. The highest hotel anywhere is here too, above Namche at 3,962 metres, with the Guinness record to prove it. What this country has lacked is not luxury, and it has never been value. It is people willing to assemble the best of it properly.

The raw material is extraordinary. Nepal falls from 8,848 metres at the summit of Everest to 60 metres in the Tarai, and it does that inside 147,516 square kilometres. Eight of the fourteen peaks above 8,000 metres stand here. So do four UNESCO World Heritage properties, seven monument zones in the Kathmandu Valley alone, more than 850 recorded species of bird, and Tilicho at 4,919 metres. Snow leopards and Bengal tigers share the same passport.

Yet most journeys pull a single thread. A trek, or a tour, or a retreat, rarely the country entire, and rarely at the standard Nepal already proves it can hold.

So we run fewer journeys and we run them properly. Trekking, heritage, wellness and wildlife, to one standard. Five guests at most and never a fixed departure. We add days where the route asks for them. We choose where you sleep for what the place is, not for the sign above the door. The people who lead the cultural and wellness days practise those traditions rather than performing them.

Our ambition takes one line. We want Nepal recognised for what it already is, and we want that led from inside the country.

Our Mission

To show that all of Nepal can be travelled at the highest standard. Trekking, heritage, wellness and wildlife, run privately, capped at five guests, and staffed throughout by Nepali guides, teachers and practitioners.

Our Vision

A Nepal named alongside the great destinations on merit, with the expertise and the value staying in Nepali hands.
