Dorje’s Resort & Spa, Pokhara
Dorje’s Resort & Spa is an eighteen room boutique resort built into the Sedi Hills above Phewa Lake in Pokhara, with lake views from every room.
The setting
It is up the hill rather than on the lakeside strip, which is the whole point. You look down on Phewa instead of across it, and the noise of the promenade does not reach you. Rooms sit within cottages built in a regional style, and every one has a king bed facing the water. Junior suites put the bathtub against a floor to ceiling window.
What is there
A multi tiered swimming pool, arranged so different groups can find their own corner. A spa and sauna. An outdoor jacuzzi with both hot and cold. Dining is on site and worth staying in for.
Who tends to choose it
Guests who want Pokhara without the crowds, couples, and anyone arriving off the trail who would rather not talk to anyone for a day. Eighteen rooms means it never feels busy.
